received two bills—one for the physician and one for the facility—for
my appointment. Why?
Some patients may receive two bills for their appointment, one for
the physician and one for the facility. The Institute for Foot and
Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy offers convenient, onsite ancillary
services, preventing patients from having to go off-site for various
tests, examinations and procedures. Patients who see the physician
and receive additional ancillary services, such as x-rays and casting,
will receive two separate bills to reflect charges for both the
physician visit and use of ancillary services.

I am from out
of town and will need to stay in a hotel. Are there any hotels offering

The Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction has onsite services
for orthotic, brace and boot fittings. For more information call

I am scheduled
for surgery at Mercy. What do I need to know in order to prepare?

What can I expect
after my surgery?
After surgery your doctor will give you a post-operative protocol,
which will outline the recovery process for the specific procedure
that has been performed.
